iLight Marina Bay
iLight Marina Bay runs from 15th October to 7th November from 1970 - 0000. It is Asia's First Sustainable Light Art festival illuminating Marina Bay, celebrating Singapore's nightscape.
Just like
MessyCarla in her recent
blog post, I act like a tourist sometimes and try to attend exhibitions or go around the city since there isn't really much to do in a small city like ours. There are only so many movies you can watch, so many meals you can have the whole day and so many shopping centres to break your legs. It is sort of nice to rediscover the place you live in. I live in Singapore all my life and every moment when my back is turned, I find the ground dug, the buildings torn down and something in its stead would spout out quickly like a mushroom.
The strange-looking building that looks like it supports a ship is Singapore's newest casino + hotel - Marina Bay Sands.I would like to see your city. Show me yours when you are next a tourist in your own city/country :)

This looks amazing. I'm inspired to try and be a bit more of a tourist this summer, especially as I'm so disenchanted with Auckland. I won't see anything as spectacular as this but I'll try and see the city through different eyes too!
