OOTD: Pleated Fancy

Hello all you lovely people. It's been awhile and I haven't been as avid a blog reader and commenting on your posts as I should be but being sick twice in a row and in a short time span really sucks and saps the energy out of me trying to cope with work as well. Thank you for waiting for me and I should be getting myself back gradually to catch up with reading! Yes first time seeing me in the spectacles. I love them but they hurt me when I wear them from a prolonged period of time so I'm looking out for a nice new pair!

Review of the ASOS CURVE Pleat Contrast Skirt Dress:

When I first saw it, I was pleased with the colour combination. Who knows orange and nude colour goes so well together and the biggest biggest plus point for me is the pleated skirt. I love a good pleated skirt and if the bottom half of that dress is sold on its own, I would have grabbed it in a tiffy and in multiple colours if they have it but still on a dress, it's not bad. ASOS, if you are hearing this, make me some pleated skirts in a range of colours please because that was absolutely fabulous! I am not big on the sleeveless but with such a pleasing colour scheme, I was going to give it a go and thought of multiple ways I could have covered my arms without cardigans being my only option. For those who are thinking bomber jackets, they were also in my head but Singapore is too hot for them. Then, I found my little polka dotted capelet I had all these years. It was chiffon, lightweight, flirty and fun plus I really like how I matched it and it added a nice touch of difference to the dress.

Bows for the ASOS CURVE Pleat Contrast Skirt Dress:

We bought the same dress! I haven't posted an outfit of it yet, but it looks lovely on you... I'm in love with the pleats as well - they don't seem to get wrinkled or fall out, which is awesome. Good choice, friend!

You look great and I really, really love that capelet you are wearing. I am fully considering buying that dress and then doing some DIY sewing to just make it a skirt. I have the perfect top for it! Does it have a pink tone to it or is it more brown? Well, you look fabulous and I'm so glad to hear you are feeling better!

This outfit is all kinds of lovely! I'm completely smitten with your polka dot capelet.

You have such a cute blog going here. Seriously, each post I've looked through has produced an ''eeep!'' of delight. Hehe. I really liked your photoshoot with the ASOS Peter Pan collar dress, the lace parasol & the stuffed bunny. Absolutely adorable. I also wanted to thank you for the visit to my blog and the kind comment you left me(way back in February. Ugh, I'm terrible).

Happy weekend! :)

we both like things to be "merry"! how wondeful!
you could also try wearing various things under the
dress, like a striped tee or something. layer under, not over...
so you won't be too hot! :)matters of merrymaking
